BCDP attended the WOW (Women Organizing for Wilmington) Women's Wave Rally in Wilmington on Saturday. Curt Owens, husband of Cheri Beasley, joined us at our tent for a while, bringing enthusiasm and support. We answered voter questions and handed out campaign literature for both New Hanover County and Brunswick County.
Our Congressional District 7 Democratic Party Chair, Sonya Bennetone-Patrick, was a featured speaker, reminding us all that our reproductive rights are on the ballot this November. We must continue to remind potential voters that radical Republicans plan to control our personal health decisions, and the only way to stop them is at the ballot box.
