Our 2023 Brunswick County Democratic Party Convention was a success! On Saturday, April 15, 85+ Democrats gathered from 20 precincts to elect new county officers, delegates for the State Executive Committee (SEC), and delegates to the District Convention next month.
Melissa Monroe, Deputy Director of Brunswick County’s Board of Elections, gave an informative presentation on the work of the board, and she received lots of questions from our engaged audience.
Special rounds of applause and much gratitude were given to our retiring Secretary, Denise Mirandola, and newest Chair Emeritus, Eric Terashima. We're not letting either of them go, however! Denise is now our Hospitality Team Chair, and Eric is taking on the position of Partner/Community Outreach Director.
