Letter to the editor: Mark his words, Brunswick Beacon

If it’s a day that ends in “y,” Mark Robinson is spreading division and hate. When a gunman killed 17 students in Parkland, Fla., Robinson called the survivors “media prostitots” and “spoiled, angry, know-it-all children” because they dared to advocate for gun safety.

Robinson is a holocaust denier who said: “This foolishness about Hitler disarming millions of Jews and then marching them off to concentration camps is a bunch of hogwash.” He said the idea that Jewish bankers are among the “Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse” is “exactly right.” He said the movie “Black Panther” was made by “an agnostic Jew” and a “satanic Marxist” to “pull the shekels out of your Schvartze pockets.” He urged people to read Hitler’s writings.

When women protested sexual predators, he said, “I absolutely want to go back to the America where women couldn’t vote.” He called Hillary Clinton a “heifer” and Michelle Obama a man.

He called homosexuals “filth” and predicted that tolerating homosexuals will lead to pedophilia and “the end of civilization as we know it.” Republican state Treasurer Dale Folwell said, “Mark Robinson is history’s latest example of someone rising to power through hate.”

Robinson’s latest verbal assault doesn’t just promote hate, it advocates killing. On June 30 at Lake Church in White Lake, NC, Robinson bellowed: “Some folks need killing! It’s time for somebody to say it!” Robinson railed against liberals: “They’re watching us. They’re listening to us. They’re tracking us. They get mad at you. They cancel you. They dox you. They kick you off social media. They come in and close down your business.” Robinson praised the time when we killed “wicked people” and said, “we need to start handling our business again. Don’t you feel it slipping away?”

Robinson’s hateful, warped and violent ideology has led him to its inevitable conclusion: advocating the killing of those he hates. He is unfit to hold public office.
