On September 14, Sunset Beach area precinct leaders Eileen Farrell, Nancy Briganti, and Neil Gilbert, along with Linda Rudick, hosted a candidate Meet and Greet for four of our local candidates. In addition, Cheri Beasley’s son, Matthew Owens, attended and gave an impressive speech on behalf of his mother, who is our candidate for the U.S. Senate.
Cameron Hankins and Bill Flythe, both running for BC Board of Education, fielded quite a few questions from the audience. Eric Terashima, running for the NC General Assembly (House, District 17), and Judge Quintin McGee, running to retain his District Court seat, also spoke to the engaged crowd.
