Brunswick Beacon, 03.27.25
This is an open letter to regretful Republicans, unaffiliated voters and everyone else who has just had enough. We don’t care why you voted for him. You must have had your reasons. We don’t care that you voted against us every chance you had. We are sorry if some of the views that you held sacred have been shattered.
If you now see the light; we want you. If you think that food for starving children is more important than tax cuts for billionaires; we want you. If you think Putin’s aggression needs to be stopped; we want you. If you think public education outweighs corporate loopholes; we want you. No questions asked. We want you. We need you. What can you do?
Don’t be quiet. Speak up. Question your friends and neighbors. Is this what you expected? Is this what you really want?
Be visible. Wear a Ukrainian flag pin. Go to political meetings. Participate in rallies. Get involved.
Demand that your Congressional Representatives hold Town Halls to explain why they voted as they did.
Write letters and postcards. Let those Representatives hear from you. They are tired of hearing from us. They know that we didn’t vote for them. And, please, use your vote wisely. It matters.
